Welcome back everyone! Today is Tuesday, you know what that means... it's Party Time! I am excited because of what today's challenge is. It was inspired by Jen Matott. Jen is a fantastic designer who admitted to us one of her dirty little crafty secrets. It's Pinterest! She is addicted and she gets lots of ideas for her classroom, home decor, and fashion projects. She loves to search for new artists and art techniques. Today's Pinterest challenge is sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.
We asked Jen Matott a few questions about herself and here is what she said:
Do you have a location that inspires you?
I am most inspired when I teach! The kids inspire me! I learn from them and I sometimes get ideas while teaching art. I also am so inspired when I go to art museums. I take a notebook with me so that I can write down ideas that come to me!
What kind of projects do you prefer to create?
Mixed media is my love! I prefer to combine materials and create texture whether on scrapbook pages or journal pages or altered art. I love mixing it up!What is your favorite crafting tool?
I absolutely cannot create without my craft mat! I make a HUGE mess and it is the one thing that makes me feel like i can without ruining every surface. I can do without any other tool (or make due with what I have) but a non-stick craft mat is a must!
Jen has given us an example of one of her Pinterest inspired projects. Her project was an adorable chevron banner that was inspired from this Pin. http://www.sisterssuitcaseblog.com/2013/02/chevron-paper-garland-and-valentine.html
