Bi-Week

Hi all you party people!  Hope everyone is enjoying this fabulous August!  Here in Colorado it is HOT HOT HOT!  We are already back to school.  Can you imagine going to school with no air-conditioning???

Well we are going to call this our bi-week.  We have some housekeeping to do here at PTT and need to get things ready for our final term this year.  Hope you have a great week!  See you next Tuesday for another fun challenge!

The Red Umbrella -Mixed Media 3-D with Dapoppins

Today I'm so happy to share a sneak peek of one of my 3-D mixed media pictures that I created on a wood 12 x 12 boxed birch panel.

If you haven't guessed, my online name, Dapoppins, come from a combination of my given name, Dana, and Mary Poppin's: that practically perfect nanny created by author P. L. Travers.  I attended Nanny School in 1988 and have been working professionally ever since.

 Mary Poppin's always carried her signature umbrella.

To me umbrellas do more than protect one from the rain.

They are a little bit magic, a little bit fun, and a whole lot of wonderful.
